Hey, guys!
Today, I'd like to share with you something else that I'm passionate about.

As you know, I'm a writer and love literature, but it's not the only thing that
I'm passionate about. In addition to being an author, I am also an artist! 

The past few years I've started to get back into my art after several years away from it.

I dunno, my heart just wasn't into it I guess, and I had so many other things going on...

Anyway, last year around this time, I started getting back into it and turned out some amazing

work that I'd like to share with you guys! 

Portrait of John Merrick, The Elephant Man. I did this one a year ago in 

November. Time flies! I dunno why I did it, I'm just drawn to the unusual and the

macabre and odd beauty. 

A quick sketch of Judd Nelson as "Bender" in the iconic 80's classic, The Breakfast Club.

I love 80's films and Judd's portrayal in this film has stuck with me ever since I first saw the film when

I was about 13 years old. Actually, the summer of my first teenage job, I watched this film all the time. I dunno why it just was always on. And I remember with my first paycheck, I went out and bought the DVD! Good Times.

This one was done in December as I was preparing to go to Chicago for the final Kill Hannah shows. I'd been watching a lot of TokioTV and I thought this screenshot was funny and would make a challenging portrait. The portrait is of Tokio Hotel's guitarist, Tom Kaulitz. 

Despite it being Christmas, I was feeling a bit macabre. I love skeletons, especially conjoined twins. 

This actually started out being a piece of art to be featured in one of my books or to use as a cover, but in the end, it just turned out to be a promo for Instant Karma Just Add Milk on Facebook. I added the roses and a filigree frame to cap off the piece and make it dynamic and eye catching.

Oh, and the title of this blog is a sort of an inside joke based on a nickname several of my mates have given me. The hints behind it are posted on my Instagram and Twitter. Maybe I'll do a prize give away to the first one who figures it out!
