I love peanut butter cups. It's my downfall. I’m always looking for great vegan substitutes. I love the Free2B dark chocolate and the rice chocolate don’t get me wrong, but I want to have options when they don’t have them in stock. Also wanted a bigger package that was a little cheaper. Look at me, being Mr Smart Shopper. Actually, I’m just being cheap. Today we’re going to be reviewing the dark chocolate peanut butter cup from Unreal. I’ve never heard of them until today, but they caught my eye when I was in the shop earlier today and I couldn’t resist. 

Look at that sleek, sexy red packaging. It really draws you in and invites you. It makes you want to see more, taste the goodness inside. I’m gonna be pretty pissed if the product isn't as tasty as they’re making it out to be. The back has a lot of fancy symbols and writing. Let’s take a look at what we got here. Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Certified Vegan and Fair Trade...What the fuck are fair trade ingredients? What does it mean? Does it really matter? Not to me, it doesn’t. I’m not a hippie. Let’s open this bitch up and take a peek inside. OH MY GOD! They are individually packaged! That’s so damn cute. Wait...I thought they were concerned about the environment o.o If they are, why are all the pieces in tiny individual plastic-type bags? What gives? Is this just American consumerism at its finest? I’m getting caught up in the smaller details. Let’s get down to the chocolate. 

It’s so smooth and creamy. Dear Lord. It’s better than any peanut butter cup I’ve ever tried in my life. It’s like eating silk. It’s a perfect balance of dark chocolate and peanut butter. It’s sweet, but not overly sweet. You know some chocolate candies, where it’s just like eating pure sugar and you get no taste? The peanut butter is salty and the chocolate is lightly sweet. It’s soft, but not overly soft. It’s like eating a little slice of Heaven. 

There she is. So pretty. You can see the peanut butter like oozing out there? It almost looks like caramel. It's beautiful. How can they be so soft and creamy? This is torture not knowing. There's gotta be some kind of witchcraft involved in this. I might just eat all of them in one go. No, no I can't do that. Self-control. Either way, I'm going to be purchasing these again. They'll be a nice little once a month treat for me.

As for me, I'm ready to try the dark chocolate almond butter cups. I have the feeling they're going to be out of this world. I saw them at the shop but didn't want to get them seeing as I'd be eating them at my mate's house and he's allergic to almonds so...I'll just eat these babies in my own time. Until the next blog.
