Winnie the Pooh Trainers!

I'm usually an all black or a black and white kind of guy, especially when it comes to my trainers, but when I saw a pair of Pooh Bear Vans come up on my Instagram timeline, I just needed to find them. They were beyond cute. I dunno, there was just something inside of me screaming that I need them. I thought it would be an easy find. Wrong. Turns out they're a limited edition and are pretty much sold out everywhere, especially in my size. Why would you do this to me Instagram? Give me an advert for something that would almost drive me crazy looking to find. Prick-tease app. Kinda upset that it took me and Pufferkins around an hour to search out these limited edition babies at a fair price. I didn't know they also offered them as kid sizes, I thought they were just for adults, no idea why. It should have occurred to me they also offered them for children seeing as a children's character decorates the trainers.

Now I'm not really into tan or beige. I find the colour wholly unattractive and lacking in personality, but seeing the cute little Pooh Bears all over them they looked playful and reminded me of one of my favourite childhood shows. I needed them. I knew they wouldn't clash with any of my outfits, seeing as everything I own is black. I mean, I do have the occasional grey or charcoal colour and I guess one or two white shirts. I visualised me wearing the trainers with my various trousers, skinnies and shorts. Every time, except one, was a win. I needed them on a whole new level. Upon finding them we danced around, celebrating and being the little trouble makers that we are. I wanted them right away so I could sport them on my upcoming trip to Montreal. I wanted to bring some honey to the land of the maple syrup.
I was surprised when they would arrive within 2 days of order without paying extra for speedy shipping. Small favours, I suppose. I was anxious for them to arrive, basically counting down the minutes. Of course, they arrived on a rainy day and I wasn't home at the time of delivery. The douchebag delivery man left the bloody box out on the steps and in the cunting rain nonetheless!

Thankfully, they weren't wet when I opened the dampened box I wanted to put on a fashion show of me wearing them with different outfits, but I had other work to do. Kinda upset that I didn't get to put on a fashion montage, but I did get to wear them to work the following morning. They're stylish and comfy. They fit almost true to form, a teeny bit bigger than I expected, but that's okay I can wear my fuzzy socks with them and they'll still be comfortable. They fit well with my normal low cut socks as well. I like the way they hug the foot, providing not only style but comfort. I like to add the inserts of gel or foam into my trainers because I'm always running around and I'm on my feet for long periods of time.
Honestly, I didn't expect to wear them to work, I usually just wear black trainers, it felt good. I'm letting other parts of myself see the sunlight. I wrote a blog last year about trans-style and I realised a thing or two since I wrote that blog; clothing and footwear isn't always defined by traditional gender norms. I can be tough and still enjoy Pooh Bear. Pooh Bear knows no gender, he is a cartoon bear after all. I'm getting a little more confident in exploring my fashion sense. I love things that are genderless and traditional masculine clothing. It's so much fun to mash the two together or pair them with something that's not expected. I can't wait to wear these cute little boys more. They're not only cute, but they also remind me of someone very special and dear to me. I should wear them when I go get my Pooh Bear tattoo in Montreal! :O Amazing.
