Delectables with Dan: 🎂🎂🎂

Hello!
Welcome to the Delectables with Dan
Valentine's Day Special.
This year I'm feeling in a really flirty mood, so I figured why not throw a little
special? Don't even ask me about St. Patrick's Day. Yeah, I've got some Irish in
me and some Scottish, but we tend to ignore that and just embrace the British blood.
...Also Swedish, Italian, German, Russian, Polish, Lithuanian...but we'll ignore that for now.

Back to the holiday at hand.
This is a sweet, and seductive heart shaped, chocolate laden, whip adorned cake that is
bound to get your girl's mouth watering. (And if you're lucky, other things.) Or if your lover
is of the male variety, it will get him excited, and maybe, just as excited. I'm all about spreading
the love today. LOVE, not STIs, so remember to wrap it up before you lube up! (This is a public health message from your friendly blogger, Danny.)

You're going to start out with a regular yellow-golden cake mix. Add the eggs, oil, water. Mix gently together before getting out the old fashioned hand mixer. The kitchen kind, not the kind that your old lady uses. I mean, it's still fun to use in the kitchen and in food play, but it won't work for cake mixing. You know what? I've never tried that, so don't hold me to that. Try it if you want, just make sure you wash it first. Hm..Vagtastic Flavour...perhaps we'll touch on that at a later date.
You want the cake mixture to be ultra smooth and silky for this recipe. Make sure that batter is evenly distributed through your heart-shaped pan and your square pans. And grease them up, real nice before you pour in your batter. ;)

Allow cakes to bake for 10-15 minutes or until half cooked. Remove from oven, keeping it on, kind of like when you're teasing your lady in bed. Take out your dark chocolate bits or morsels and add them to the top of the half-baked cake. (I wish I was half-baked as I did this.) Return cakes to oven and allow them to cook for another 10-15 minutes or until golden. I use this time frame because sometimes my oven takes more time, some it takes less time it takes less time. Each time it's a fucking gamble.

When cakes have golden edges and your poker comes out clear, remove from oven and set to clear. Allow them to cool for at least 45 minutes until prepping for the next step. Stupid me, forgot to get a photo, but it's not rocket science. You'll want to put the square bottom cake on a plate or platter with the chocolate dotted side up. Ice it with a thin layer of either chocolate or vanilla icing, your choice OR you can use liquefied chocolate like I did. DON'T DROWN THE FUCKIN THING IN CHOCOLATE IF YOU'RE USING THE MELTED! It's like lube, start out with a little and you can always add more because too much IS a bad thing.

Place the heart shaped cake with the chocolate dotted side down. Make sure that the cake is evenly placed over the square cake, leaving some space on the sides for later. Ice your cake with vanilla or strawberry flavoured icing. The strawberry works amazing. You can make this kind by using a regular buttercream icing recipe and adding 2 drops of red food colouring (or more depending on the hue of pink you want.) This pastel pink is a real eye-catcher and will only add to the colour contrast at the end of the process. Make sure both cakes are iced evenly.

But we're not done yet! Oh, no that was just the second round of foreplay. Here's where things are going to get a little more heated. To finish this off you're going to need some whip to rim the edge of the heart-shaped part of the cake. Top with some red-pink-white sprinkles to complete the look! You don't have to eat it all at once! Dismantle it if you want and enjoy!! Pop in the icebox when you're done with the cake!
