My Google Search History?!
It recently occurred to me that I've never looked at my search history.
I was curious about what I'd find, especially since I do a lot of researching
at night.
Thursday 11/8
1. Jeffrey Dahmer Confession
2. Jeffrey Dahmer Adam Walsh
3. Ted Bundy Confession
4. Gary Ridgeway Confession
5. Was John Wayne Gacy gay?
....okay. Don't need to wonder what was on my mind that night.
I'm an avid true crime "fan" bordering on the obsessive. I've always
been drawn into the psychological aspect of the Dahmer murders;
theres just something about what he did that merges the sane and insane
and for me, redefines what it means to play God. I couldn't find a full Dahmer
confession and I sure as hell wasn't about to pay 20.00 (USD) for it! I kept searching
finding all sorts of bits, stringing it together. His experiments, trying to create living
sex zombies were interesting, but strongly reminded me of Josef Mengele. The kind
of emptiless remorse that I saw in Jeff's eyes when I watched the video was rather
haunting; he was so casual about all of the killings, and appeared to be feeling sorry
for himself, not for the acts of murder, dismemerment and cannibalism. ...Yet I could
connect with his disire to fight off loneliness and have those who would never leave me.
There were many articles about Jeff's victims and I came across him linked with a young
boy named Adam Walsh. I was familiar with the abduction and murder of the young boy from
a local Sears (a sort of department store) in Hollywood, Florida in the late 80s- The mystery
and missing facts from that case have always facisnated me; I love unsolved mysteries for
so many reasons. As I read through a few of the articles there were many witnesses that claimed
they saw a man who resembled Dahmer in the Sears that day. (As he lived close to the area during
the time of the abduction and murder of Adam.) What struck me about this is that the police failed
to investgate these claims and statements further. It made me wonder "why?" Why would they do
this? Dismiss potential evidence? Pin the blame on someone else as it made their jobs easier? In the 6 years that I've been familar with the Adam Walsh case, the eerie, hauntingess of it has never gone away.
There are two books about the case, its a two part book by: Arthur Jay Harris that I'm dying to read. I'm going to have to order them. Jeffrey Dahmer's Dirty Secret: The Unsolved Murder of Adam Walsh Pt1 and 2 are available on Amazon and Kindle. (used copies of print are available.)
And you can't talk about Dahmer without John Wayne Gacy coming into
play. Not only did they commit their murders within the same geological
region (Mid-West), they also had a similar type of victim: young boys.
Gacy struck me as odd when he was caught as he appeared so normal, a pillar
of the community...and he confessed as soon as he was suspected of murder. He
aided the police in the discovery of 29 of his victims buried in his home or on his
property. (i.e. his garage and his BBQ pit he built) He disposed of his last remaining
victims in the Des Plains River, which he reported to the police upon his arrest. Then
years later in prison acted as if someone had framed him? It boggles the mind-especially
since he was so forth coming upon his confession. His belief that he could try and persuade others
of his innocence is beyond bizzare, but also a revealing fact of his psychology. A charming, psychopathic murderer, who indulged in depraved sexual acts and sadistic murder.
Upon being questioned about the sexual acts with his victims, he claimed he was not "gay" but bisexual. I know it was a different time, but it struck me as funny that he appeared to be more concerned that people would call him homosexual over a murder. Somehow, to Gacy, that was more immoral and disgusting than the horrific crimes he committed.
And last, Ted Bundy. How could I not like him? After all, he and I share similar viewpoints on people, life and women. I know hes a well known liar and has lied throughout his incarceration, trial and arrests, but I was curious to see in his own words what he thought of what he did and his trial, etc. I had to snort at his "confession" talking about how violent pornography was his excuse for what he did. And that Preacher eating it up. Really, hats off to Bundy for this amazing troll of a final interview before his execution. I've yet to read through the rest of the documents or his actual police confession. Still digging through all that.
....Maybe the next search history day will be more of a happy nature. HAHA
