Tinfoil Hats and Tour Prep Part One

Greetings and salutations readers!
Sorry about the depressing, double-downer blog yesterday, but on a positive note some things are looking up, so there's always that! Today's blogs will be about the wonders of travel and tourism. And what would a tour be without a tinfoil hat? (aluminum foil; saying tin just works better for the title)

I've been touring for 6 years now and each time I prepare to go away, there are a few things that I always do. (Even if the size and quantity of my luggage change) Here are some key tips and things to bring whilst traveling!
What's the first thing that I pack?
Well besides my passports and other ID cards, its my tour/travel binder! Its where I keep all my copies of ticket purchases, hotel reservations, passes and other useful information.

WHAT I KEEP IN MY TOUR BINDER!

Now, sometimes it can be difficult going on tour and being a vegetarian, so I always prepare in advance! There's tons of little snacks you can take with you that are also vegan friendly! Small packs of nuts, dried fruit and bikkies are my go to whilst away from my creature comforts of home. You can put them in a save saver bag (individually sealed packages of course) and let the extra air out and slip it into your pack! Also do a little detective work for shops/ eateries in the area that you're traveling to for veggie friendly foods. (I've made a list for my tours after a few days of deep detective work.)

And also, going to an area where you don't speak a language can be even more difficult! Print out some key words/ phrases and put them in your travel binder along with public transit maps, time stables, and tickets, that way you'll be lest apt to lose them.
*Also keep the information of your emergency contacts as well as embassies in places other than your phone! Mobile devices are often stolen whilst abroad and leaves people stranded in foreign places. I always keep an extra copy of the contact info in my travel/tour binder as well as my personal day planner. And always tell at least one mate if you're going out, especially at night.

I also like to plan the days out in advance, loading directions onto my Handy, iPad and writing then down step by step. It pays to have things work out, but do allow yourself some free time to explore a little off the beaten path. Mingle with people if you can, as they'll know a lot more than what a guidebook tells you!

Gotta dash for now, a few more things in the works and some editing to do, but I'll be back tomorrow with the rest of my updates for travel and tour!

And on another note, I've made a YouNow Account where I will go live from tour this autumn! Yaay! Sadly, it won't be on my Handy since international rates are fucking beyond the pail expensive, but you can check me out on my laptop, where I will be answering questions, talking about the cities and all other kinds of stuff!

I will be posting little videos on my YouTube Channel (Finally) from tour: tattoos, sites and mini adventures.
