Deepest Passions

I'm really excited to announce that I'm going to be doing some educational adventures when I head back to England this summer. At the end of June I will be heading back to London. I've decided that I'm going to use my time off to do something that I'd really like to enjoy and shre with you guys. Over the years and through my many travels I've written about museums, galleries, odd exhibits, medical exhibits and more. I'm looking to spend my time exploring this passion of mine. Through the first week of July, I will document my journey, sharing blimps, photos, impressions and more. I'm planning on writing several pieces to post here on Mental Masturbation as a limited series. I'm going to be calling it Deepest Passions. It will be broken into several sections and sub-sections. There will be sections on my favourite materpieces, the influence the old masters had on British and Irish art. I will also be writing small feature pieces on all of the museums and galleries featured in each blog. Whilst on the subject of art, I'm hoping to obtain permission to some of the medical mueseums to take photos of some of the specimins for artistic purposes, to create new works of art, to capture the evelution of the human body and medical sciences. I'm hoping that I will have enough material to do a piece on medicine in Victorian London. I will move onto natural histories and feature The National History Musesum, Crystal Palce Dinosaurs and a feature of the London Zoo! To add to the excitment, following a viewing of The Stonehenge Exhibit at the British Museum, I will be taking a trip down to the historical landmark! I will explore the surrounding area, discussing historical points and beliefs as well as my own personal take on things. From there I will make a special trip to Bristol to visit the Bristol Zoo as well as the Bristol Museum and Gallery in a little overnight adventure! I look forward to sharing these adventures and experiences with all of you guys! If I have time, I will be arranging a few meet ups! I will know more as I start to build the finer parts of the tour schedule into the plan. I'm going to wrtie one final piece on European travel in a post global pandemic world. I've travelled all over the word for a dozen years, until covid hit. As the world was grounded, I felt a sort of claustraphobia. I hate being stuck in one place for too long. I want to know what's changed and what's stayed the same as I take on one of my favourite journeys to a place I fondly call home. I've stayed away for too long, I'm missing by baby. I can't wait to walk the streets, jump the tube and cycle across my favourite city in the world. I'm hoping to launch a new macabre collection of stickers, prints and possible sketchbook covers! There will be prints of my tour art available. Hopefully sometime this month I will release two new Valentine's Day inspired sketches. I'm going to have a poll to see which design is more popular and that design will be made into a limited run of merchandise! Art previews will be launching on social medias. I will be updating my RedBubble store soon! I'm thinking of opening an Etsy shop as well for certain things...If I did, what kind of things would you like to see on there?
