HELLO SAN JUAN! (Danny & Pork Chop Go Caribbean)

 In 3 weeks time, I will be off to San Juan, Puerto Rico! 
Now, I know what some of you are thinking. COVID. Blah. 
I'm in good health, been working throughout the pandemic and I exercise caution.
I've put my life on hold for over a year dealing with this, as most of the world has. Between work, my mental health and personal stress, I just need to get away from everything. A co-worker of mine came back from San Juan a little over a month and a half ago raving he had an amazing time, so on yet another sleepless night at 3 am, I said fuck it and booked a flight to San Juan. 

I need to do something. I'm in pieces. Nothing feels real anymore. I'm just going through the motions. I feel like things are getting worse and I have no real support. I feel empty, alone and alienated. I can't talk to the people in my life about this. I feel like I'm a toy to pretty much everyone around me. I need to do something to make me feel alive again. I think a trip is just what I need. I'd rather go back home, but that's not really feasible at this point, so a little tropical getaway was the next best thing. I've never really gone anywhere tropic unless you count Florida, and I don't. 

I decided to go for a week, taking in some activities that I've never done on any of my trips before. Most of my European, North American and Oceanica trips in the past have mainly ben to museums, historical sights and gallieres. This time, I've decided to get out there and experience the outdoors! I'm going to snorkel in San Juan, mix cocktails in at the Bacardi factory, explore a bioluminescent bay whilst kyacking and finally, heading through the rain forest, taking in the natural beauty of Puerto Rico. Of course, I'm going to sneak in some museums here and there. I have my eye on one or two places I can take in after or before some of the activities that I've booked in.
